Hair Restoration ( by Ms Nana the Hair Doctor)

April 3rd, 2015 • Posted by Akua Boachie • Permalink

We will be adding a new service to our menu, "Hair Restoration"
This technique is non invasive with a very holistic approach.
It will consist of a thorough consultation for about an hour and a half to two hours, collecting data.

The treatment itself is using detoxification of the entire body systems, then adding Ms. Nana's Essential line of products called "GRACE" to actually break down surface tension of the scalp, and bathing it in light therapy, that will travel into the basal layer of the skin in 600n to 650n of wavelengths.

This energy of wavelength is going to catalyze your own stem cells to re-generate hair growth.
I have trained with the best, to bring you this service.
Hair loss in women is becoming very alarming lately, and there isn't much out there to remedy this ailment.

The men are able to use Rogaine, and Propecia to help them, but only a few women get any results from Rogaine or minoxydil. Propecia is not prescribed for women at all, not to mention the side effects. You will have to use these products for life, even when your hair grows back, or it will fall out again.

We are therefore offering you this alternative, without any known side effects, and very cost effective.
As always, we are phone call or email away. Contact us 770-942-0885, or email spaserene@gmail.com.

Time for Renewal as Autumn Leaves Fall

September 3rd, 2013 • Posted by Email Marketing • Permalink

Ah, the joy of introducing those warm, fluffy sweaters and comfy sweatshirts back into your wardrobe rotation. As much as we long for the warmth of summer after the gray skies of winter, nothing beats autumn when it comes to a sense of renewal. The kids begin a new school year, your favorite football team introduces a new roster, and you have nothing but cooler weather and the holidays to look forward to. What better time to adjust your beauty routine than the new season?

Fall skincare involves doing away with summer dryness and pampering your skin. Exfoliate at least once a week during the fall season and switch to a heavier moisturizer that will protect your skin as it adjusts to new, cooler temperatures. For an utterly decadent experience, call us to schedule a facial. You'll walk out feeling like you have virgin skin.

Don't forget to maintain use of sunscreen. The same UV rays that bathed you all summer are present in the autumn sunshine. If you're not sure which products work best with your skin type, ask our esthetician for a recommendation.

Now is the time to put away the sheer-tinted moisturizer and lip gloss. Opt instead for a creamy foundation that perfectly matches your skin tone and a velvety lipstick shade that helps brighten your face. The careful use of a rich concealer will help hide any under-eye circles or skin imperfections

Tweak your makeup routine by adding warm, natural colors that allow your true beauty to shine through. If you don't already, do yourself a favor by using a primer on your face and eyelids before you apply your makeup. You may be surprised by the fact that a primer will hold your makeup in place throughout the entire day, leaving you looking as fresh at 5 p.m. as you did at 7 a.m.

See our stylists about getting your hair into tip-top shape after a summer spent on the go. They can get rid of any frizzy ends, renew your style and freshen your color. Fall is the perfect time to try that new cut or color that you haven't had the nerve to try before.

Do your best to avoid those coughs and colds that often accompany the change of season by eating well, getting plenty of rest, taking your vitamins, and de-stressing. For an easy way to de-stress, ask us about our other treatments. A little pampering goes a long way toward strengthening the body and spirit.

The great thing about fall is that it gives us all a chance to start anew, to make changes for the better. May it be your best season of change yet.

Four Steps to Put Your Best Face Forward

August 12th, 2013 • Posted by Email Marketing • Permalink

As summer starts to end and tans begin to fade, you may notice that your skin is looking dull and dry. You may also see signs of sun damage like wrinkles, brown spots, freckles, a blotchy or an uneven complexion.  The best thing you can do to protect your skin from future sun damage is to cover up and use sunscreen liberally, but if the damage has already been done, it's time to start your own basic 4-step skin care regimen.

To revive your sexy summer skin, begin your daily routine with a good cleanser to remove surface debris and dead skin cells.  Make sure to wash your face in lukewarm water, because hot water can strip your face of its natural oils, leaving it dry and irritated.  When choosing a cleanser, check its ingredient list. Large amounts of detergents like sodium lauryl sulfate can also dry skin out.  If you notice your skin is still dry, switch to a creamier cleanser.

Further quench your skin's thirst by misting your face with an alcohol-free, mild toner.  The ideal toner will not only close pores after cleansing, it will restore skin's pH balance and add moisture, prepping skin for a moisturizer.  For extra dry and sensitive skin, choose a toner that is hypoallergenic to leave your skin feeling soft and refreshed.

To seal in more hydration, apply a moisturizer while your skin is still damp from the toner.  Look for a moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15.  A good moisturizer will be non-comedogenic and have key ingredients that lock in moisture, like petrolatum, lanolin, glycerin, mineral oil, or dimethicone.  Using the right moisturizer will leave your skin hydrated, soft, supple and protected from the elements.

While using a cleanser will remove surface dirt and dead skin cells, a good facial mask will eliminate impurities from beneath the top layers of skin.  By removing these impurities, the right mask will improve the performance of your other skin care products.  To treat your dry skin, look for a mask that contains ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, avocado or honey.  These ingredients restore moisture and keep your skin super-soft and supple. Follow up with a toner and moisturizer, and you're ready to flaunt your flawless skin.

Your face is the first thing people see and it's a big part of your identity.  It's hard to stay confident when you're suffering from dry, sun damaged skin, and the last thing you want is for people to notice those pesky brown spots, red blotches, or dry flakes.  Following a skin care regimen like this will help you to put your best face forward at all times.
